The Rose Buddies will be fertilizing the Library roses Friday, June 16th at 10:am. The April feeding took three people 40 minutes. The added mulch around the base of the rose bushes was a great time saver.
Starting June 12th, Jay will be at the Library on Mondays and Fridays at 10:am to dead-head the roses, remove black-spot and whatever else needs done. He would like to organize the Rose Buddies in that a Rose Buddy would volunteer their time once each month during the blooming season. This would require him and two other Rose Buddies each Monday and Friday for no more than two hours. This would only take sixteen club members to assist me The Wilsonville Library Roses are a Wilsonville Garden Club project, and you should not assume that your help will not be needed. Jay realizes that the lower garden requires some strong footing, so he will take care of the roses in the lower garden. Rose Buddies that are assisting will work on the sidewalk roses.
